Word Mix-Up: THRONE and THROWN
THRONE
: The noun "throne" is from Greek
thronos
, meaning an elevated seat or chair such as a king or other ruler might use.
THROWN
: This is the participle form of the verb "to throw," as in the sentence: The spear was thrown with deadly accuracy.
