Dragons and Heroes

How do we connect with the characters in hero stories? These words from the writer Tom Robbins (from his novel Still Life with Woodpecker) give you something to think about when you create a hero-character... and when you create the "dragon" (or other enemy) that the hero defeats.

The painting is St. George and the Dragon by Raphael.

We're our own dragons as well as our own heroes, and we have to rescue ourselves from ourselves. — Tom Robbins
