Ursula Le Guin: Writers Who Can Remember Freedom

Ursula Le Guin is one of my all-time favorite writers, and she was recently honored at the National Book Awards; here is a video of her speech, which includes these moving words (transcript here): "We who live by writing and publishing want—and should demand—our fair share of the proceeds. But the name of our beautiful reward is not profit. Its name is freedom."
