Book Recommendation: The Writing on the Wall

One of the best books I read over winter break was Writing on the Wall: Social Media: The First 2,000 Years by Tom Standage. It is a very readable book about the different social networks that readers have shared over the years, starting with Roman letter-writing and graffiti. There are also great chapters on Tudor England, the Protestant Reformation, the American Revolution, and on the modern history of American newspapers, radio, and television.
